The Commander of the Somaliland National Army, Brigadier General Nimaan Yusuf Gaaxnuug, held a meeting at the National Army Headquarters in Hargeisa with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Somaliland, Ambassador Teshome, the Ethiopian Consul General in Somaliland, and the Defense Attaché of the Ethiopian Embassy.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed defense relations and cooperation, focusing on strengthening security collaboration and addressing security issues within the region.
Ethiopian Ambassador Teshome briefed the National Army Commander on the latest developments and ongoing progress in the region.
For his part, the Commander of the Somaliland National Army, Brigadier General Nimaan Yusuf Gaaxnuug, affirmed Somaliland’s commitment to strengthening bilateral defense cooperation in order to support regional peace and stability.
This meeting is part of ongoing discussions regarding security and defense cooperation between Somaliland and Ethiopia.
