The Minister responsible for Planning, Investment and Economic Development, Hon. Mohamud Abdirahman Sheikh Farah alias Beenebeene, held a high level meeting with Christopher Pycroft who is the Development Director of the UK Embassy in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to reinforce aid coordination to promote Somalia’s development priorities, advancing partnerships with donors through the Somali Donor Group, implementing population and Housing Census.
The Somali Federal Gov’t expressed deep thanks to the UK Gov’t and the Int’l community for the efforts in the reconstruction and development of Somalia.
The two sides reached a common understanding to establish close working cooperation in order to ensure that all development efforts are in line with Somalia’s National development plan.
The implementation of Somalia’s National Development Plan will lead the country to brighter future and to prosperity.
The Somali gov’t is committed to work with the Int’l community in order to ensure lasting progress.
