Mogadishu–Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday visited National Army soldiers and those of Ma’awislay clan militia fighters who were injured in the line of duty. The soldiers are currently receiving medical treatment at hospital belonging to Somalia’s National Army. The president interacted with injured soldiers, showed solidarity, and congratulated on their bravery. He assured to the injured soldiers that the Somali Federal Gov’t will do all it can to provide medical treatment and care. He said: ” The government promised to do all it can to provide medical care while staying at the hospital. You are heroes who put your lives in risk for the sake of the people and the country. You are in the right track when it comes to safeguarding your people.” The president inspected the services and facilities that are currently available at the hospital. Somalia’s Army Chief Brigadier General Odowaa Yusuf Rage, head of the medical department, and the head of the military hospital briefed the president on the services that the hospital provides and the problem that it is faced with.
