Somalia’s specially-trained forces known as Danag and clan militia fighters have clashed in the south of Galka’ayo on Saturday. At least four people were killed and dozen others were wounded, according to eye-witnesses and health officials. The clan militia fighters were angry after Danab forces have stormed the house of a business trader who is next of kin to the militia men. The furious clan militia fighters have attacked a military base manned by Danad forces in Galka’ayo. Neither Somalia’s Danab forces nor the clan militia men have commented on the confrontations. The situation has returned to normal. Somalia’s specially-trained forces known as Danab have increased its presence in Mugud province and conducted several operations.
