Somali President Officially Launches Justice and Togetherness Political Organization

The National Convention of the political organization dubbed Justice and Togetherness was officially held last night in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital. The convention saw the attendance of more than 2700 delegates who are from the all regions of the country.

The delegates are the official members of the political organization. During the convention, the delegates approved the constitution and the bylaws. They also chose the Executive Committee, and the chairman and the flag bearer of the political organization.

The convention was attended by the incumbent Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

He delivered a speech which centered on the importance of multi-party politics, togetherness and the unity of the Somali populace.

The Somali Federal Gov’t Prime Minister, the First Deputy Prime Minister, and some of the cabinet ministers have commended the establishment of Justice and Togetherness political organization, and the new direction that the politics of the country took.

The President of Southwest state, Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed (laftagareen), the deputy chairman, the president of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kaariye, the president of Hirshabelle, Ali Abdilahi Husein, and the governor of Mogadishu, Mohamed Ahmed Amir delivered speeches at the national convention.

Finally, the delegates chose the following members as the executive committee.

  1. Hassn Sheikh Mohamud, the chairman of Justice and Togetherness political organization.
  2. Hamze Abdi Barre, the deputy chairman of political, strategic and planning issues.
  3. Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagreen, the deputy chairman of security and regional authorities.
  4. Salah Ahmed Jama, the deputy chairman of foreign and economic issues.
  5. Sacdiya Yasin Samatar, deputy chairwoman of development of social issues and awareness.
  6. Abdirahman Mohamed Hussein (Odowaa), the General Secretary.
