Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Tuesday arrived in Adan Yabal district in Middle Shabelle region.
The Head of State is expected to hold high level meetings with heads of the Armed Forces.
He will meet with the Army Chief, General Odawa Yusuf Rage and the Chairman of the Armed Forces Court, Colonel Shuute who are in the frontlines to oversee the anti-terrorism operations against the al-Qaeda affiliated group of Al-Shabab militants.
The President is due to inspect the real situation on the ground in Adan Yabal after the district was liberated from Al-Shabab militants.
He will inspect if the local residents have access to basic services and the welfare of community living in Adan Yabal.
The Head of State will make a short stopover in Moqokori district where he is expected to meet with Somali National Army Commanders as well as leaders of the Ma’awisley forces.
It is expected that the gov’t of Somalia will intensify the ongoing operations which are aimed at driving out Al-Shabab militants from the country.
Turkey delivered Bayaktar drones which are expected to enhance the operational capacity of the Somali Force that will conduct airstrikes against Al-Shabab hideouts.
