The Somali National Army particularly the 9th Battalion successfully conducted anti-terrorism operation against Al-Shabab militants in an area called Abagbeeday.
Abagbeeday is located just 20 km East of Hudur town in Bakool region.
The Commander of the 9th Battalion, lieutenant Yonis Adan Hassan, has confirmed that the Somali troops bravely carried out the operation and seized weapons.
The operation is part of an ongoing efforts that the Somali National Army carried out to flush out Al-Shabab militants from the region which pose a threat to the peace and national security of Somalia.
