Somali Finance Minister Meets with his Kuwaiti counterpart

A delegation headed by Somalia’s Finance Minister, Hon. Bihi Iman Egge is on an official working visit to Kuwait.

Somalia’s minister held a productive meeting with the Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment of the State of Kuwait, Noura Suleiman Salem Al-Fassam and other officials of the ministry of finance.

During the meeting, Somalia’s finance minister is accompanied by the Governor of Central Bank of Somalia, Mr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi, and the Somali ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Abdilahi Mohamed Sheikh.

The focus of the discussion was the development of financial issues and the economic cooperation between the two countries.

During the productive meeting, the two sides discussed on investment issues and trade.

The Somali Federal Gov’t undertook efforts to lure investment pertaining to the economic sources of the country.

The Somali Finance Minister, Bihi Iman Egge, has expressed deep thanks and appreciations to the government of Kuwait for the role it played when it comes to Somalia’s debt relief.

Somalia’s Minister pledged to consolidate the working cooperation between the government of Kuwait and the Somali gov’t in a bid to promote the economic growth and the financial plan that the Somali gov’t put in place.
