Somaliland has received approval of financing under the Road Infrastructure Programme, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Feasibility Study, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment/Resettlement Action Plan, Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Design of Lowyaddo – Farddaha – Borama Road plus preparation of Bill of Quantities and Bidding Documents.

The services included under this project are Feasibility Study, preparation of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment/ Resettlement Action Plan, preliminary and detailed engineering design of Lowyaddo – Farddaha – Borama road, which is approximately 280 kilometres. The consultancy firm will also be tasked with the preparation of Bill of Quantities and relevant bidding documents. The maximum duration of the assignment is twelve (12) months.

The Somaliland Road Development Agencyunder Ministry of Transport and Road Developmentnow invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement .

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours 08:30 – 16:00hours local time on Saturdays – Wednesdays, and 08:30 – 15:00 hours local time on Thursdays except on Public Holidays.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 07 September 2019 at 09:00 hours local time and mention the consultancy services and “Expression of Interest for consultancy services for Feasibility Study, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment/Resettlement Action Plan, Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Design of Lowyaddo – Farddaha-Borama Road”.
