Puntland security forces have intensified operations against Daesh terrorist group which are underway in Al-Miskaad mountain range in Bari region.
The security forces have taken over major bases belonging the terrorist group.
A statement from Puntland Military Command said that the security forces dismantled Daesh Commands that the group set up.
The security forces conducted operations in Lugta Kalaley, Baraagaha Moqor Yare, Moqor Weyne and Dahrinta Barile in Al-Miskaad mountain range.
The security forces confiscated devices that the Daesh terrorist group uses when it comes to Improvised explosive devices particularly the landmines.
The statement went on to say that Puntland security forces are committed to eliminate the terrorist group and to drive out Deash remnants from Al-Miskaad mountain range.
Tension is running high in areas where Puntland security forces have expanded their presence while Daesh fighters have fled from the area.
Puntland regional authority is currently conducting the third phase of anti-terrorism operations which are aimed at flushing out Deash fighters from the mountain range.
