The Somali Gov’t has successfully repatriated 145 citizens who were stranded or detained in Libya.
The returnees include youth and others who have taken the perilous journey to have a better life were warmly received in the airports of Mogadishu and Hargeisa.
The repatriation process was supported by United Nations Migration Agency.
37 of these repatriated migrants have arrived in Hargeisa while 108 others have arrived in Adden Adde airport in Mogadishu.
Gov’t officials, families of the migrants and other people have greeted the returnees upon arrival at the airports. They expressed that they are elated after having returned to their homeland.
The Somali government has once again conveyed its clear message to the Somali youth to refrain from migration by taking the perilous journey and risking their lives.
