Puntland’s Spokesman for Al-Miskaad military operations, General Mohamud Jama Fadhigo, announced that Puntland security forces have successfully captured an ISIS foreign fighter in the Af-cas area of the Al-Miskaad Mountains. General Fadhigo stated that the captured man has confirmed that he came from an ISIS base in the Shakala area and had spent three days trekking. He also revealed that the man claimed to be one of three ISIS members sent to retrieve a donkey for transporting food to their base. The spokesman further disclosed that the detained man is a Yemeni national and a member of the ISIS fighters operating in the Al-Miskaad Mountains. He noted that the ISIS group is facing difficulties in terms of supplies and food, leading them to rely on donkeys they have found. General Fadhigo pledged that Puntland security forces, along with local defense forces, will continue their military operations against ISIS. He also mentioned that the areas where ISIS members were stationed have been besieged and their movements are being closely monitored.
