HARGEISA–President Musa Bihi Abdi is scheduled to deliver State of the Nation Address to the joint Parliament session tomorrow (Sunday) January, 19, 2002.
The State of the Nation Address is an annual address to Parliament by the President of Somaliland covering wide range of issues that affect the state.
This will be his second time to address the joint parliament session and will coincide the ongoing dispute between Somaliland government and opposition groups over the fate of the sitting electoral commission.
The question of holding parliament and local council election in Somaliland is uncertain as the terms of both houses expired.
The two main opposition parties UCID & Wadani have sent today an appeal to the current Electoral Commission to tender resignation after they have failed to gain the support of the opposition groups.
