Ma’awisley local defense forces last night conducted a planned attack against Al-Shabab fighters that were based in El-dheere buraale settlement in Middle Shabelle province.
They precisely targeted areas where the militant group of Al-shabab were regrouping for the past couple of days.
Ma’awisley officer told the local media that they carried out the attack in order to prevent Al-shabab mobilization in El-dheere buraale settlement.
He spoke to Hiiraan Online and told that heavy casualties were inflicted upon Al-Shabab.
He said that at least ten Al-shabab fighters were killed in the attack.
The operation coincides when the situation is calm in regard to the settlements that lie in the border between Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle provinces.
