The local Ma’awsiley forces last night carried a planned operation in the Haud area of Mahadaay district in Middle Shabelle province.
The operation which took place in Ciid-Ciidka area targeted members of Al-Shabab militants who were stationed there.
The leader of Ma’awsiley forces in Mahadaay district, Osman Beerey who was leading the operation told the media that they killed several Al-Shabab fighters.
He further said that the local forces seized weapons and military equipment.
He disclosed that Al-Shabab fighters took 4 corpses to Ali Fooldheere settlement in Middle Shabelle province.
The local Ma’awsiley forces took control of the area that they carried out the operation.
