The minister of Internal Security of Somalia’s Federal Gov’t, Abdilahi Sheikh Ismail Fartag, flanked by the Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdilahi on Monday jointly wrapped up a training for the units of the Dervish Police Forces.
The European Union Capacity Building Mission in Somalia (EUCAP) conducted the training which centered on the skills related to the prevention of acts of insecurity, the fight against terrorist groups, and the protection of the rights of Somali citizens during the operations.
After the closing ceremony of the training, the minister flanked by the Police Commissioner received vehicles and military equipment which are intended to support the police officers who received the training in order to diligently execute their duties.
The trained police units were equipped with modern knowledge based on the laws in line with the Somali Police force while giving a top priority to the safety of the Somali citizens and to ensure the overall security of the country.
