The President of Hirshabelle State, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Gudlawe), held a meeting in Mogadishu with the UK Ambassador to Somalia, Charles King, Head of Development Chris Pycroft, and Head of Political Affairs Chris Barker.
The meeting focused on the continuation of UK government support and the implementation of development projects in Hirshabelle, as well as the execution of the major Sabbuun Dam project (JOSP). The Hirshabelle President thanked the UK government for the impactful projects it has implemented in the region, including the construction of the Hirshabelle Presidential Palace and the Parliament headquarters, both of which are nearing completion.
“We are committed to pursuing every avenue to implement projects that benefit our community. I also thank the UK government for the support it continues to provide to Hirshabelle,” said President Ali Gudlawe.
The UK government is a major supporter of Somalia, providing assistance for development projects and initiatives aimed at strengthening social services.
