Galmudug regional president, Ahmed Abdi Kariye alias Qoor Qoor, speaking to the residents in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital, has said that Al-Shabab militant group is on the brink of defeat, and urged the local residents to unite when it comes to eliminating the terrorist group from the region.
The President further revealed that the operational capacity of Al-Shabab declined and they are in state of desperation.
He urged the local residents to throw their support behind his administration in a bid to get rid of the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group from the country.
He called on the residents and the religious leaders to support his administration when it comes to strengthening efforts which are aimed at speeding up the war with Al-Shabab.
He further called on the residents to help one another during the holy month of Ramadan while Galmudug region is experiencing the drought.
He went on to say that the local residents must refrain from inter-clan conflicts which will give an advantage to Al-Shabab militants in order regroup.
