President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo and Somaliland President, Musa Bihi Abdi have met in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital on Tuesday afternoon.
The first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders were held at the office of Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed who has facilitated the two to meet.
According to sources, the meeting lasted for about an hour.
Farmajo and Bihi were not accompanied by members of their delegations during the meeting.
Details are sketchy as far as the meeting is concerned and it is not known the issues that the two leaders have discussed.
Talks between Somalia and Somaliland were postponed on several occasions after attempts to bring the two presidents to a meeting did not materialize.
President Farmajo has been seen as a close ally of Ethiopia since Abiy Ahmed came to power through reforms.
