The explosion of a suicide bomber could be heard all major districts in Mogadishu.
The blast occurred after a man wearing an explosives vest targeted and blew himself up outside Damaanyo military barracks in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu.
The suicide bomber targeted youngsters who lined up in front of Damaanyo military barracks and to be recruited as members of Somali National Army (SNA).
Intitial reports say that the explosion resulted deaths and injuries but the exact number of casualties are not officially known.
Security forces arrived the barracks where the explosion occurred and sealed the area. Medical emergencies and ambulances reached the site of explosion. The militant group of Al-Shabab claimed the responsibility of carrying out the attack.
