Ex-Top Spy Agency denies holding intelligence post at Turkish military base in Mogadishu

Former top spy agency of Somaliland General Jama Mohamed Botan has repudiated media speculated reports claiming that he traveled to Mogadishu, Somalia’s warn torn country and was appointed a senior intelligence post at the Turkish military base in Mogadishu.

The reports published in both Somalia and Somaliland local media outlets are baseless and are far from the truth.

“I, the ex-boss of Somaliland’s spy agency, Jama, hereby clarify that the reports saying that I assumed intelligence post at the Turkish military facility in Mogadishu and further claimed that I took Turkish citizenship are untrue and intended to mislead the public.” said Jama.

“I have neither traveled to Mogadishu nor I have gone there is search of a post. I am not naturalized as Turkish citizen. I hereby reveal that the news is totally a fabricated one. I will sue at the court those who are responsible for writing fake news.
