HARGEISA– The minister responsible for education said on Monday that it wants in the first place to halt illegal construction activity at Sheikh Bashir primary school which lies at the heart of the capital. The minister has appealed to law enforcement agencies to do all they can to stop the construction with immediate effect. The plot of land where the construction is underway was donated by president Silanyo to the founders of Gandhi public Library after government auctioned to business tycoon next of kin to ex-Silanyo president. The library used to locate next to the central police station in Hargeisa. The minister also addressed the letter to president Bihi, the mayor, the police commissioner and the minister in charge of public works and housing to act urgently on this pressing matter.
