The Police Command in Dhusamareb district, the administrative seat of Galmudug state issued instructions obliging business owners to install CCTV cameras on their premises.
This was disclosed by Dhuusamareb Police Chief Captain Nur Elmi Mohamed who spoke to the local media and said that the order is aimed to ensure the overall security of Galmudug capital.
He called on the residents living in Dhusamareb to closely cooperate with security forces in order to ensure the peace and the overall security in the town.
He said: “The business owners must install CCTV cameras on their premises in order to maintain the security in the capital. That will facilitate to maintain the security in the town. I called on the business owners to comply with the directive which is aimed to maintain the security.”
He sent stern warning to soldiers who carry unauthorized weapons in the town. He said it is unacceptable and will take actions against the soldiers who violate the ban in place. Finally, the directive issued by Dhusamareb Police Command comes at a time when insecurity acts occurred in the town.
