Sudanese Army informs Al Bashir about his ouster, arrest ex-vice president

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) has reported apprised of Sudanese leader, Mr. Omar Al Bashir that he is no longer the president of the country, state media reports.

Reports indicate that that former Sudanese Vice President,  Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, former Defense Minister, Abdel Rahim Mohamed Hussein and the acting head of National Congress Party (NCP), Ahmed Haruon, all have been detained by the army.

The Sudanese TV has announced a while ago that the army has taken control of all broadcasting stations and it is expected to make an announcement in the hours to come.

Khartoum airport closed and planes are informed not to leave until further announcement is made.
