President of the Republic, H.E Musa Bihi Abdi received the new United Nations Special Representative for Somalia and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia, Catriona Laing at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa on Monday.
The media office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement that the President of Somaliland and UN Special Representative for Somaliland/Somalia held discussions ranging from the working cooperation between the UN and Somaliland, and the implementation of projects that the UN is currently implementing in Somaliland.
President Bihi and Catriona Laing also discussed on the stalled Somaliland and Somalia Talks as well as the conflict in Las Anod.
Catriona Laing and the President saw eye to eye of the peaceful resolution of the conflict in Las Anod.
The two sides have reached a common understanding of the issues so far discussion during the high level meeting.
