HARGEISA– The political national parties held a meeting which was aimed to end the political impasse on the postponement of upcoming local council and parliamentary elections.
The gathering was held at the presidential palace saw the attendance of Somaliland president, H.E Musa Bihi and former deputy presidents, and civil society organizations.
The president proposed the meeting where by the attending political parties endorsed the following points which they agreed on unison.
The parliament elections will be held at the end of 2019.
They agreed to figure out the constraints together.
They also discussed ways to address the challenges.
The meeting was held on 16th December 2018.
Today the political parties have further continued their consultations on the best way forward for the realization of democracy in Somaliland.
