HARGEISA– Security Forces today released the ministry of information director for finance, Mr. Hasan Mohamed Mohamud on bail who has been held in captivity for the past week on corruption allegations.
Police took Mr. Hasan into custody after anti graft authority who was conducting corruption proble demanded the law enforcement agencies to put him behind bars.
The former Director General, Mr. Osman of the information ministry was co arrested with Mr. Hassan but the DG was later released on bail due to health related grounds.
The anti corruption authority accelerated investigations and the detention of high profile figures in Somaliland cabinet is expected who will be tried for graft charges.
Anti graft body laws do not allow an official who was detained for corruption allegations could not be released on bail.
