Somaliland: Gov’t to deport special secretary of deputy PM of Somalia

HARGEISA– The Somaliland government has decided to set free the special secretary of Somalia’s Federal Government deputy PM, Hon. Abdikani Yasin Mohamed who has been in captivity in Hargeisa for the past days. The government has reached the decision to send Hon. Abdikani to Mogadishu on Wednesday.

Mr. Abdikani was said to have entered without visa in Somaliland as the internal security deputy minister has once pointed out. He hails from Somaliland as he was educated in his homeland but traveled to Mogadishu and became the secretary to the deputy M

There is a law in place in Somaliland which bars that all citizens who travel to Somalia and hold public office once they return to the country face an expulsion or arrest.
