ERIGAVO–The government of Somaliland handed over two containers teemed with medical supples to Erigavo General Hospital.
The handing over ceremony held in Erigavo saw the attendance of health minister, Dr. Hasan Ismail Yusuf, deputy planning minister, Husein Ibrahim Buni, Hon. Ahmed Mohamed Alin, Sanaag provincial governor and the mayor, Hon. Ismail Nur.
The health minister in a speech delivered during the handing over ceremony reiterated that the medical supplies are processed only for the beneficial of Erigavo hospital and are not allowed to be sold in local markets.
The minister has warned that government officials that assumed the responsibility of handling the medical supplies not to be sold in local markets.
On the other hand, Oxfam Novib has distributed water jerrycans to some villages in Sool region as part of ECHO project.
