Somalia’s defense minister, Mr. Hasan Ali Mohamed today has suspended his director general, Mr. Sokor Jama Geyre with immediate effect. A statement from the ministry has cited that the suspension of DG at the defense is part of ongoing reforms to the security agencies in Somalia and the development of the ministry. The minister has appointed Mr. Mohamud Hasan Keytoon as the ministry’s Director General on temporary basis.
