Somalia Cancels licenses of two Kenyan airline companies for violating travel restrictions

Somalia’s Govt has revoked the licenses for two Kenyan registered airline companies. The licenses for Buff Air Services and Silver stones Air Services revoked after violating travel restrictions on Covid-19 pandemic. The two airlines were accused of smuggling khat posed as medical supplies into Somalia. One of the Kenya Khat flight carrying a consignment of illegal and smuggled Khat landed at Buhodle town airstrip on May 26. The second flight landed in Jawhar town on May 31.
