Gorgor special forces backed by Galmudug Dervish forces early on Wednesday conducted anti-terrorism operation in Ba’adweyne, which is located in South of Mudug region. The military operation targeted on al-shabab positions where they extort money from the local residents in Ba’adweyne district. Commanders who led the operation told local media that al-shabab fighters were stationed on targeted areas. Reports further said that the al-shabab fighters were hiding in these areas. The Somali troops supported by Dervish Forces destroyed al-shabab hideout positions as far as the operation is concerned. The Somali elite forces carried out similar operations in most of districts in South of Mudug region which are aimed at flushing out al-shabab remnants from the Gamludug state.
