Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Int’l Cooperation, Hon. Abdisalan Abdi Ali on Friday held high level meetings with his Djiboutian and Algerian counterparts whereby the FM is currently in Baqdad, the capital city of Iraq.
The meeting which took place on the sidelines of the Arab League Summit in Baqdad, centered on the bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, security, economy and social affairs.
The two brotherly nations namely Djibouti and Algeria showed their full support on the efforts of the Somali Federal Gov’t to restore stability, peace and development.
Somalia’s FM, Abdisalan said after the meeting that the talks showed the longstanding ties that Somalia shared with Djibouti and Algeria.
He stated that they will work on the constant cooperation which is based on the mutual interests in the region and in particular the Arab World.
The meeting is part of the Somali efforts which are aimed to consolidate its diplomacy and cooperation with members of the Arab League Countries.
