Presidential, parliamentary voting kicks off in Zimbabwe

Presidential and parliamentary elections on Monday have gotten underway in Zimbabwe, reported Reuters.

Voting started at 7 am at 10,985 election precincts, and it will end at 7pm local time.

According to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, more than 5.7 million citizens will be able to vote in the elections.

The results shall be made public on Saturday.

These are Zimbabwe’s first elections since the removal of former president Robert Mugabe.
