The President of Somaliland Musa Bihi Abdi is expected to appoint special committee that will be tasked to lead Somaliland talks with Somalia. President is reported to be in the mission to put together a team of experts that will attend the dialogue on behalf of Somaliland with Somalia. The dialogue between Somalia and Somaliland remains stalled at the moment. The Ethiopian government led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is embarking on a diplomatic leverage to push for the resumption of the stalled dialogue between the two enclaves. Bihi is said to appoint a committee that compromises of scholars were several of them were in attendance of the rounds of Somaliland-Somalia negotiations during ex-president Ahmed Silanyo presidency. The team of scholars will be accompanied by a group of politicians. The sitting foreign minister of Somaliland is supposed to chair the would be new committee for the dialogue. President Bihi recently said that there is no planned meeting on the resumption of Somalia-Somaliland talks. Abiy Ahmed, the current Ethiopian PM is believed to be concentrating on the resumption of the dialogue. Abiy Ahmed arranged the first meeting between Somalian leader, Mohamed Abdilahi Farmajo and Somaliland counterpart, Musa Bihi Abdi.
