Addis Ababa, September 3, 2018 –Federal Police Commission has detained 9 individuals on suspicion of attempting to disrupt international flights and coordinating strike of Air Traffic Controllers in Ethiopia.
Deputy Commissioner General, Tekola Aifokru, told FBC today that the suspects were attempting to disrupt international flights and prevent planes from landing at the airport.
They were also accused of coordinating and leading the strike of Air Traffic Controllers that began last week.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, the suspects are under investigation.
