The Somaliland National Police Force, swiftly put into custody two men, one being an Ethiopian, soon after they were accused of committing separate murders in the capital city of Hargeisa.
The killings took place on two consecutive nights at the vicinities of Guled and Nile Hotels.
The police force was quickly hot on the heels of the culprits who had bolted after the attacks and successfully apprehended them swiftly in a matter of hours.
A brief statement contained on the Facebook page of the police force revealed the arrests and confirmed the arrests, noting that they would be charged forthwith and presented to a court of law.
Ifsa Ahmed Sharif is accused of killing the late Amin Syed Sidiq, a 22-year-old, by using a knee-jerk at the front of Guleed Hotel in Hargeisa, whereas Bashe Farah Abdi knifed 25-year-old Jimale Rashid Hassan, whose mother is Nuura Sudi, at the neck around Nile Hotel at 2.30 am.
Both the knee-jerk blow and knife stabbing caused immediate fatalities.
Similarly, both arrests were swiftly made within a matter of hours.
The police warned culprits and erring people that the force would leave no stone unturned in their pursuits.
They thanked the members of the public for collaborating with them while going about their duties, something they said was quite worthwhile and indispensable.
