The Current Director of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbalooshe on Thursday held a meeting with the officers of the Somali National Army (SNA) and the local defense forces known as Ma’awisley. The meeting was held in Moqokori district in Hiiraan region.
The meeting centered on the expedition of the security matters and the operations against the militant group of Al-Shabab which are underway in certain settlements in Hiiraan region.
They discussed ways to enhance the working cooperation of the security agencies, the Somali Armed forces and the local residents in order to ensure huge victories when it comes to the war against Al-Shabab.
The officials who attended the meeting acknowledged the importance of unity in a bid to strongly face the militant group of Al-Shabab and to liberate areas under their control.
The meeting coincided at a time when the Somali Federal Gov’t has surged the fight against Al-Shabab and to expedite the operations against the militant. The director is exerting maximum efforts to speed up the ongoing operations.
