Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and President Sahle-Work Zewde hosted a state dinner in honor of Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Presidential Palace last evening.
President Kenyatta on the occasion expressed his support to the beautifying Sheger initiative and pledged that Kenyan companies will stand by Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed and Ethiopians in the ‘Dine for Sheger’ fundraiser, according to Office of the Prime Minister.
He added Addis Ababa is also the city of Kenyans and other Africans.
During the state dinner, the President also underscored the need to further cement the ties between the two countries.
“There is need for our people to be allowed to travel throughout the African continent freely without any hindrances, since we are all brothers and sisters with a common heritage as Africans,” he added.
