Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Hamdy Sanad Loza has met with President of Somaliland Muse Bihi Abdi to discuss means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
Abdi said he is looking forward to enhancing cooperation with Egypt in the fields of livestock and fisheries, agriculture, health and education.
Loza said his visit to Somaliland comes as part of an Egyptian policy to strengthen Egypt’s role in the Horn of Africa region.
During his visit, Loza also held talks with the ministers of health and fisheries.
He visited the University of Hargeisa and discussed means to exchange expertise and training.
He also met with representatives of the Egyptian community in Somaliland.
