HARGEISA—A delegation from Iraq and Jordan arrive in Hargeisa on Monday.
The delegates were greeted at Egal airport upon arrival by Somaliland representative to Finland, Ms. Samia Muse. The delegation consisting of former electricity minister of Iraq and a delegation from Site and Sound which based in Jordan and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed which is aimed at improving the quality of Somaliland’s Civil Servants. Ms. Samai said that the arrival of delegates from Arab countries is a positive sign that Somaliland is establishing cooperation with them. She has called on Somaliland government to give warm reception to the delegation. Ex Iraqi electricity minister, Zahban who spoke said that the mission is to have cooperation with Somaliland on education and other social services. Dr. Adiya who spoke on behalf of Site and Sound firm said that he hopes that his firm is to assist Somaliland on developing education and training its civil servants. He thanked for the warm welcome that he received from Somaliland.
