Unknown armed assailants shot dead two men in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland last night.
One of those killed by the armed assailants was a security guard of a hotel in Garowe while the other man was his next of kin.
According to the hotel management, the armed assailants shot the two men the head and the back, and immediately escaped from the area.
The shooting took place in an area close to gov’t centers including Nugaal reginal court and the regional administrative office.
Puntland security forces did not succeed to arrest the perpetrators of the murder.
The security forces said that they are currently conducting an investigation and that they are pursuing those who carried the shooting.
The relatives of the two men who were shot dead by the armed assailants refused to be buried until the gov’t brings the perpetrators to court.
Such killings did not take place in Garowe which is known for its security and stability.
Those who used to carry out killings were related to people who are addicted to drugs.
