The US Africa Command (AFRICOM) conducted intense airstrikes in parts of Al-Miskaad Mountain in the Bari region. The press statement also mentioned that the airstrikes were carried out by international partners, specifically the US, who have been providing air support in targeting terrorist elements in Puntland. The airstrikes took place in Elka Bukuuje in Togga Baalade in Al-Miskaad Mountain over the past 24 hours. Puntland reported that members of the ISIS terrorist group were killed in the raid, while others surrendered to its security forces due to the pressure. The statement also declared that operations against ISIS will continue and those who are still on the run will be pursued. Puntland pledged to continue these operations until all remaining members are eliminated. The authorities also announced a decisive victory in the fight against ISIS, presenting the largest group of foreign ISIS prisoners captured in the Al-Miskaad Mountain operations to the world.
