The Commander of Special Forces-SNA, Colonel Hassan Salah Abdi, conducted an inspection visit yesterday to soldiers who are currently receiving military training at the military training school, formerly known as ex-Balidoogle, in Lower Shabelle province. According to reports, these units are expected to formally join the Danab Commandos of the Somali Military after completing their high-level training. SNA Radio reported on Friday that the purpose of the inspection was to assess the quality of the training, as well as the ethics and combat preparedness of the soldiers who will be responsible for maintaining security and participating in operations against Al-Shabab. During the visit, the Commander of the Special Forces held a meeting with officers and trainers and received briefings on the current stage of the training. He urged the soldiers to remain vigilant, protect unity, and uphold the law of the army. He also emphasized the importance of improving the quality of the Special Forces in order to ensure the success of security operations in the country. The Balidogle camp provides military training to the Danab Commandos-SNA, with the participation of US military officers, who also assist in anti-Al-Shabab operations. The Danab Commandos are one of the most active forces in the country, currently involved in anti-Al-Shabab operations in South and Central Somalia.
