The Somali National Army in close collaboration with international partners carried out a planned airstrike, targeting Suullaay area, which lies 17 km south from Teedaan area in Hiiraan province, where Al-Shabab members were hiding.
18 Al-Shabab members were successfully eliminated while 21 others suffered catastrophic injuries. Meanwhile, a combat vehicle, bases and hideouts belonging to the al-Qeada-linked terrorist group of Al-Shabab had been successfully destroyed. The Ministry of Defense of Somalia commended the professionalism, the bravery and the diligence that the Somali National Army demonstrated demonstrated.
