Hargeisa – The President of the Republic of Somaliland, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi (Cirro), acting pursuant to Articles 90 and 75 of the Constitution of the Republic of Somaliland, and following the approval decision of the House of Representatives (Decision No. GW/KF-13/31/2025, Ref: GW/G/12/531/2025) dated 23 December 2025, has issued a Presidential Decree formally bringing into effect the 2026 National Budget.
The decree instructs all ministries, independent agencies, and other government institutions to implement the approved budget in strict compliance with financial regulations, performance-based management principles, and transparent accountability mechanisms.
Furthermore, the decree mandates the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development of the Republic of Somaliland to oversee the implementation of the 2026 budget and to provide regular reports on the status and progress of its execution.
