Taiwan has called on Chinese gov’t to stop meddling the growing diplomatic ties between Somaliland and Taiwan.
Taiwanese ambassador to Somaliland, Amb. Allen Lou said that the bilateral ties between Hargeisa and Taipei is based on mutual interests.
He said that he believes that the two countries will gain int’l support when it comes to the bilateral ties between Somaliland and Taiwan.
He urged the Chinese government to refrain from meddling the ties between two countries.
He further called on China to support the stability in the Horn of Africa.
He pointed out that China has never ruled Taiwan but further asserted that Chinese ambassador to Somalia is making false assertions on Taiwan’s independence.
The Taiwanese ambassador to Somaliland expressed deep thanks and appreciations to the G-7 countries that clearly supported Taiwan and rejected Chinese attempts to change the status quo of Taiwan Strait.
The statement from Taiwanese ambassador to Somaliland comes after Chinese ambassador in Mogadishu condemned the growing bilateral ties between Hargeisa and Taipei.
He urged Hargeisa to cut the ties with Taipei.
