With over 3,000 attendees from 80 countries, the conference brought together central bankers, government leaders, fintech innovators, global financial institutions, and experts to shape the future of inclusive digital finance. During the event, Deputy Governor Khayre and his team held strategic meetings with international counterparts, central bank officials, and technology pioneers. The discussions focused on three key pillars for Somaliland’s economic growth: modernizing and digitizing the national payment system, expanding secure and accessible digital financial services, and strengthening core financial infrastructure to drive sustainable growth and economic resilience. This participation highlights Somaliland’s increasing ambition to integrate into the global digital finance ecosystem, attract strategic partnerships, and accelerate domestic fintech innovation to better serve citizens and businesses.
