The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Somaliland, Mr. Hamse Abdirahman Khayre, led a delegation to the Inclusive Fintech Forum (IFF) 2026 and MojaCom 30, a prestigious fintech conference held in Rwanda’s bustling capital. With over 3,000 attendees from 80 countries, the conference brought together central bankers, government leaders, fintech innovators, global financial institutions, and experts to shape the future of inclusive digital finance. During the event, Deputy Governor Khayre and his team held strategic meetings with international counterparts, central bank officials, and technology pioneers. The discussions focused on three key pillars for Somaliland’s economic growth: modernizing and digitizing the national payment system, expanding secure and accessible digital financial services, and strengthening core financial infrastructure to drive sustainable growth and economic resilience. This participation highlights Somaliland’s increasing ambition to integrate into the global digital finance ecosystem, attract strategic partnerships, and accelerate domestic fintech innovation to better serve citizens and businesses.
