Somaliland health ministry has confirmed that the number of malaria cases have surged in Sahil province.
The ministry added that the number of malaria cases in this year is higher in contrast to the previous year.
The regional health ministry coordinator, Dr. Bashir Dirie Jama has narrated the malaria researchers in the country.
He assured that the ministry will take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of malaria in the country.
The ministry went on to say that the last study conducted revealed that other malaria infectious diseases are on the surge which is prone to the infection of urban areas.
Berbera Mayor, Abdishakur Idin, has declared that as a city council and regional authority will take the measures aimed at controlling the infectious disease which are likely to affect urban population.
