The Somaliland Immigration and Border Control (SIBC), under the leadership of Acting Commissioner Brig. Gen. Mohamed Ali Mohamed, issued a public notice today reaffirming its commitment to facilitating lawful, orderly, and efficient travel to the Republic of Somaliland.

The announcement, rooted in Somaliland Immigration Law No. 72 (1995) and the Delineation of the Administrative System and Independent Agencies (Law No. 71/2015), builds on a September 9, 2025, statement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airports Development. It underscores Somaliland’s dedication to welcoming international visitors through an efficient visa on arrival (VoA) process, promoting the nation as a hub for tourism, business, and diaspora engagement.
